[2588] Renaud was killed in the great battle at the Horns of Hattin in the Holy Land. His ancestry is given in Jamie Allen's genealogy web site at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~jamesdow/pedstart.htm in 2003 (not verified). He was known as Lord of Krale in Moab and Prince of Antioch. http://www.friesian.com/flanders.htm#chatillon reports: "Reynald (or Renaud) of Châtillon, as noted, becomes Prince of Antioch through marriage to the heiress, Constance, of Prince Bohemond II. They had no issue, and Reynald was even repudiated by Constance. Reynald's subsequent mischief so angered the Sult.ân of Egypt, Saladin, that he was killed, in some accounts, at the hand of the Sult.ân himself, after being captured at the Battle of the Horns of Hattin in 1187." See notes for his wite, Constance of Antioch. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raynald_of_Châtillon

[33920] This person is from the unverified John Davys Tree in Ancestry.com in 2012. Note: Coxhall, place of his marriage, is now Lyman, ME. Ancestry.com offers: "Giles Name Meaning - English and French: from a medieval personal name of which the original form was Latin Aegidius (from Greek aigidion kid, young goat). This was the name of a 7th-century Provençal hermit, whose cult popularized the name in a variety of more or less mutilated forms: Gidi and Gidy in southern France, Gil(l)i in the area of the Alpes-Maritimes, and Gil(l)e elsewhere. This last form was taken over to England by the Normans, but by the 12th century it was being confused with the Germanic names Gisel, a short form of Gilbert, and Gilo, which is from Gail (as in Gaillard). Irish: adopted as an Anglicized equivalent of Gaelic Ó Glaisne, a County Louth name, based on glas green, blue, gray." For the Aurora area see "Along the Union River," Connee Jellison (Charleston, SC: Arcadia Publishing, 1997), Chapter 3.

[55148] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 30 april 2009: "Bangor - Nona Mae Sibley, 80, our guardian angel, passed away April 28, 2009, at a Bangor hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Oct. 18, 1928, on the Rogers Farm in Stillwater, the daughter of Guy L. and Madeline M. (Rogers) Thurston. Nona graduated from Old Town High School, Class of 1946, then went on to attend Northern Conservatory of Music. She was a member of Old Town VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Her favorite thing to do was sit on the banks of Camden harbor with her husband and friends watching sailing ships come and go. Nona enjoyed traveling to Florida in the winter and to the Maritime Provinces in the summer with her husband, Rex. They made wonderful friends wherever they went and stayed in touch with them throughout the years. Her favorite pastime was playing cribbage and there are wonderful stories of the many games played after breakfast. She loved life and enjoyed playing Bingo, cross-country skiing, gardening, yard sales and knitting. She was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Rex Sibley; her children, Leon G. 'Sandy' Perkins of Oakmont, Pa., Glenn A. Perkins and wife, Lisa, of Brownville, Thomas J. Perkins and wife, Stephanie, of Orono, Susan M. Rice and husband, Leonard, of Glenburn, C. Ann Nickles and husband, Ronald, of Franklin, Mass., and Heidi M. Newman and husband, Richard, of Walpole, Mass.; three brothers, Robert E. Thurston and wife, Virginia, of Stillwater, Roy M. Thurston and wife, Janet, of Stillwater and Alan P.
