Memorial # 29210918 states Samuel is son of Thomas Morrow and Margaret McCullough. "The Perry County Times [New Blooomfield, PA], 1 March 1923," p. 3: "Samuel C. Morrow died at his home in Loysville, February 22nd, after an illness of three days. The deceased was a son of Thomas and Margaret (McCullough) Morrow, and was born in Juniata county, August 10, 1838. He was aged 84 years, 6 months and 12 days. Mr. Morrow was married May 8, 1862, to Susan Valentine, who survives with five sons and three daughters, namely: Margaret (Mrs. Lewis Ellerman) of near Landisburg; Charles, E., of Wilkinsburg, Pa.; Harry C, of Newport; Mary J., (Mrs. Jesse M. Sheaffer) of Kistler; Albert, of near Landisburg; Carrie B., (Mrs. S. C. Wagner) of Harrisburg; James M., of near Loysville; William D., of Newell, Pa. Thirty-nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren also survive. The deceased was the last survivor of a large family and was among the few Civil War veterans left in this community. He enlisted September 10, 1862, to serve three years, or during the war, in Co. F, 16th Reg., Penna. Cavalry, and was discharged July 24, 1865, at Lynchburg, Va."

[61636] Beverly's obituary: "Mattawamkeag - Beverly (Richard) Lemieux, 62, passed away Wednesday, Jan.15, 2003 at a Lincoln hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Bradley, Feb. 9, 1940 the daughter of Edward and Frances 'Honey' Richard. She grew up in Mattawamkeag and was a graduate of Mattawamkeag High School in 1958. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Winn. She lived in Mattawamkeag , served at one time as the Recreation Director of the Mattawamkeag Recreation Association. She was a member of the Tuesday Club, chaired many benefit suppers and was an avid supporter of the Mattawamkeag Wilderness Park. She was a very talented artisan and served on many other community projects. Bev enjoyed traveling overseas with her husband who was in the military. She loved cooking and worked as a cook at the Crossroads Restaurant in Mattawamkeag and at the Northeastland in East Millinocket. Bev will be remembered for her ready smile, helpful hands and giving heart. She is survived by her husband and best friend, Vern 'Sonny' Lemieux. She was loved and will be greatly missed by seven children; Randolph Springer Jr. and his wife Amy Elizabeth of Leominster, Mass, Claudia Jean Anderson and her husband Brian of New Sweden, Amy Jo Springer and Rob Lee of Stetson, Linda Diaz of Miami, FL, Susan Hardy and her husband William of Alexandria, VA, Lance Lemieux and his wife Lisa of Wilton, MA, and Lisa Lemieux of Canada; three brothers, Laurence Richard and his wife Sue of Clinton, MA, Edward "Ricky" Richard Jr. and his wife Dawn of Mattawamkeag, and Gregory Richard Sr. and his wife Arlette of Chester; two sisters, Constance Cahill of Mattawamkeag and Barbara Fletcher and her husband Michael of Green sburg, PA; grandchildren Randolph M. Springer, Abby, Jade and Brady Anderson, Dillan Springer, Richard and Harley-May Lee, Ryan and Alex Diaz, Patrick and Jenna Lemieux; several nieces and nephews."
