[61962] Find A Grave memorial 68751659 offers: "Son of Henry Snow and his wife Miriam Rust/Russt. He attended Dartmouth College and fought briefly in the Revolutionary War before leaving for Nova Scotia, where in 1783 he married Elizabeth Payson in Annapolis. She was the daughter of Jonathan Payson and Elizabeth Tileston of Dorchester, MA., who had settled in Nova Scotia about 1762. Benjamin and Elizabeth removed to New Brunswick and later to Bath, NH, where he apparently farmed and taught school. After his death, Elizabeth moved to Atkinson, ME, with her grown children, and she is buried there. The NH State Archives house a number of letters written by Benjamin Snow, his military papers, and accounts of his apprehension under suspicion of being a Tory by the Plymouth Committee for Public Safety. The Dartmouth College Library has preserved record of his attendance but not of his graduation. The graves of his parents have not been located. Very likely they lie in Spencer Cemetery in Plymouth, NH, near the grave of Benjamin's paternal grandmother, Bridget Snow (memorial #68789930). Benjamin's paternal grandfather, Joseph Snow, lies in Ford Burial Yard in southern Rockingham Co., NH (memorial #67033265). His mother, Miriam Rust Frost Snow, was married first to Benjamin Frost, by whom she had three childen. No document identifies the Miriam Rust who married Benjamin Frost and Henry Snow as the same Miriam Rust who was born 15 Sep 1723 in Gloucester, Essex, Massachusetts to Nathaniel and Miriam Rust, but this is likely so. Benjamin Snow's siblings and half-siblings: Henry Snow, Miriam Snow Bayley, Nehemiah Snow, Robert Snow (died young), Benjamin Frost, Miriam Frost, Rebecca Frost Butler."
