Born in Edwardsville, IL, she was the middle daughter of Thelma (Chandler) Hall and Leo Maurice Hall of Troy, IL. Patricia left the Midwest at a young age to enjoy the music and lifestyle of New Orleans. There she lived in the French Quarter, where she had a modeling career and was a hostess at Diamond Jim Bradys before meeting her future husband, U.S. Air Force Lt. Donald Foss Hathaway. Don and Patti married in 1954, in Selma, AL. During a visit to the Hathaway family home in Island Falls, young Donalds friends and neighbors were joyfully overwhelmed by the new brides beauty, and with her kindness and sophistication. During the next 24 years their family grew to include six children. The Hathaway family lived all over the U.S. as Donald continued his Air Force career. From 1965 to 1967 Patti and her family had the memorable experience of living at the Air Force base in Kadena, Okinawa. Other stops along the way included Kansas, TX, CA, NM, IL, AZ and ME. Patti opened her home to all of her childrens friends and while living in Tucson, AZ, the family grew to include foster brother, Dan Cerepanya. She was predeceased by her son, Craig Campbell Hathaway; and sister, Lila Lee (Hall) Andrews. Survived by her children, Alan, Keely, Karen and Crista Hathaway and her adopted son, Dan Cerepanya, all of Santa Barbara, CA, and Eric Hathaway and his wife, Kimberly, of Canton, CT. She was the grandmother of Ian and Gaia Hathaway, Hayley Hathaway and McCrae Hathaway, Aaron Hathaway and the youngest, Ryan and Alba Hathaway. Sister of Elvira (Hall) Fletcher of Sugarland, Texas, and Maxine Rorer of Kansas City, Miss.; as well as the children of Donalds second marriage to Katharine (Fenton) Hathaway, William and Anna Hathaway. Her best friend, Dorothy Roeder, was a great source of love, caring and important conversation throughout Pattis adult life. Her family and all who knew Patti were inspired by her kindness, her knowledge of so many things, her incredible strength, and the tremendous love she shared with those who were lucky enough to come into her life. Pattis wishes were that no service be held. Her family spread her ashes at sea, where her son Craigs ashes were spread 22 years ago."
