[39541] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 24 January 1947, p. 12: "Northeast Harbor, Jan. 23 - Addie Leach, widow of Burleigh Leach, 81, died Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Fennelly, here. Mrs. Leach was born in Penobscot Jan. 3, 1866. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and of the O. E. S. Surviving are one son, Jasper Leach of Atlanta, Ga.; a daughter, Mrs. George Fennelly of Northeast Harbor; one sister, Mrs. Abby Douglas of Bucksport; two grandsons, Roy Salisbury of Northeast Harbor and Harold Salisbury of Bucksport; four great-grandchildren; three nieces and three nephews. Funeral services were held Thursday at the Union church of Northeast Harbor, Rev. Merton B. McKendry of the Mount Desert Larger Parish officiating. The bearers were James Bunker, Arthur Coombs, Wilder Hamblen and John H. Manchester. Entombment was in a local cemetery and burial will be in Penobscot in the spring."
