[54500] "Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 30 August 2016: "Steuben - James 'Jimmy' Dunning went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 after a long bout with dementia, Alzheimer's disease and the recurrence of cancer. Jimmy was born December 8, 1927, son of the late James S. Dunning Sr. and the late Beatrice (Bedson) Dunning. Jimmy loved the Lord. He was a faithful member of Steuben Union Church for 62 years and that is also where he married his wife, Phyllis on July 17, 1954. He served in the United States Army and was sent to the front lines for combat in Korea. For over twenty years, Jimmy was employed as janitor at the Knowlton Elementary School, Ellsworth School District. He was a huge fan of country western music and had hundreds of CDs in his collection. Jimmy was a member of the American Legion, Cherryfield Chapter. Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Phyllis M. (Colson) Dunning of Steuben, son-Kevin J. Dunning and his partner, Tracey Campbell of Baytown, TX, and brother- Donald Dunning, Sr. He was predeceased by his daughter, Lisa Marie, at an early age due to a tragic car accident; both of his parents and brother - Robert Dunning."

Esh with whom she shared nearly 58 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on November 22, 2005. Surviving are: her children, David B. Esh and his wife Trish, of Salisbury, MD, Peggy J. Noss and her husband Tom, Jr., of Honey Grove, Susan E. Henderson and her husband Ralph, a son-in-law, Robert Switzer, a sister, Beverly R. Hood, all of Mifflintown and she leaves behind 8 grandchildren, as well as 4 great-grandchildren. One daughter, Gail E. Switzer preceded her in death. Mrs. Esh was a 1945 graduate of the Tuscarora Valley High School, Port Royal and had attended the McCoysville Presbyterian Church. She also was a member of the Spruce Hill Grange No. 772. She had retired from Empire Kosher Poultry, Inc., Mifflintown. Reba enjoyed canning, tending to her flower and vegetable gardens; however her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren."
