[24286] http://www.thepeerage.com reports "He died in 1361 at Dunbarton Castle, from the plague while imprisoned for alleged complicity in the murder of King David II's mistress, Catherine Mortimer. . . .He fought in the taking of Berwick in May 1355, where he commanded. He was one of the eight lords, of whom three were to place themselves in the hands of the English as security for the release of King David II. He held the office of Great Chamberlain [Scotland] from 1357 to 1358. On 18 August 1359 he had a safe conduct for four ships of Flanders, but he broke his engagement. In March 1359/60 he was charged to retrun to England to fulfill his obligations as hostage." Thomas and Margaret also had Elizabeth Stewart, who m. Sir Alexander Hamilton.
[61447] "Morning Call," 22 October 2017: "William F. Watson, 90, of Minersville, passed away on October 19, 2017 at Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Anna (Sackalusky) Watson, who died in 2011. Born in Port Carbon, he was a son of the late David and Mae Connelly Watson. He was an Army veteran of World War II; and was employed by ALCOA and Cressona Aluminum until retiring. He was a member of St. Matthew Church, Minersville. Survivors: Janice Warischalk and her husband, Michael, Titusville, FL, William J. Watson and his wife, Barbara, Whitehall, and David M. Watson and his wife, Ellen, Millersville; 12 grandchildren, including Joanna McKnight, Colleen and William Watson, Michael, Andrew and Jessica Watson; nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Deborah Dutcavich and Karen Dronick; a granddaughter, Melissa Watson Bugbee."
