Archer, 78, native and life-long resident, farmer and lumberman, highly respected, died at his home here Thursday. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Avilda Archer; a son, Walter E. Archer, who lives here; a daughter, Mrs. Vara Emery of Fairfield; a grandson and granddaughter, Paul and Elizabeth Archer of Amherst; a sister, Mrs. Carrie Campbell of Clifton; and a brother, Winfield Archer of Richmond Hill, N.Y. He was a member of Goodwill Orange and Amherst lodge, Independent Order of Foresters."
