[48854] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 15 May 1968, p. 35: "Winterport - Clara Atwood Treat, 85, formerly of Winterport, died Tuesday after a brief illness at a Belfast hospital. Mrs. Treat, widow of Joshua Treat 2nd, a prominent business man in Eastern Maine, was born at Winterport and lived there throughout her life, but since the death of her husband in 1956 had spent her time between Tucson, Ariz., Rye Beach, N.H. and Belfast. For many years Mrs Treat was active in civic and philanthropic activites. She was especially devoted to her work in behalf of the Winterport Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late Lewis C. and Clara L. Atwood. Mrs. Treat is survived by three children, Mrs. Donald S. Clark 2nd of Tucson, Ariz., Joshua Treat 3rd, of Belfast, and William W. Treat of Hampton, N.H." Clara is daughter of Lewis Atwood (1843-1932) & Clara A. Crowell (1844-1909; m. 10 November 1866 in Winterport, Waldo Co., ME).

Seiler, 91, a guest in the Masonic Home, Elizabethtown, and a former resident of Shamokin died yesterday morning at 10:35 in the Masonic Home Hospital. He had been hospitalized five weeks. Born in Brier Creek, October 12. 1878. Mr. Seller was a son of the late Daniel G. and Jemima (Weiksel) Seiler. Mr. Seiler came to Shamokin in 1885 and first worked for his father. Later he became a partner with his brothers and finally owner of D. G. Seiler Sons, wholesale fruit and produce firm. He was last employed as a custodian at Market Street National Bank and retired in 1967. He entered the Masonic Home, May 31, 1968. The late Shamokin man was married in September, 1902, in Lancaster, to the former Sarah F. Dorwart who died August 1 1968. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Shamokin Lodge of Masons, the Commandery, Rajah Temple Mystic Shrine, Reading, and Williamsport Consistory. Survivors include a son, Richard, Shamokin, two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren."
