He married Belinda Bryant in 1842, in Cutler, Washington, Maine, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 2 daughters. He lived in Lincoln [Co.], Maine, United States in 1850 and Maine, United States in 1870. He registered for military service in 1864. He died on 21 March 1893, in Cutler, Washington, Maine, United States, at the age of 70, and was buried in Cutler, Washington, Maine, United States."

The 5 June 1880 federal census lists him, age 67, in Sullivan, a widower - his household includes his daughters Fanny H. (age 33) and Sarah P. (age 25), both listed as "keeping house."

Jorund went on many plundering expeditions, but they ended suddenly when he was captured in Denmark and hanged in 312." The web site gives further ancestry based on the legends, and at this point appears obviously contrived - if Jorund died in 312 his son and successor would not have been born about 360!
