[59205] Her obituary: "Brenda Jean Getchell Vanelli, born to Cecil and Bessie Cole Getchell on June 18, 1949, in Bangor, Maine, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024, at 7:15 a.m. with family by her side. She was the second eldest of three children: Clint, Brenda, and Steven. She was very close to and had a special bond with both of her brothers. Brenda graduated from Hampden Academy and went on to have two beautiful children: Angela and Zane (II), who were her pride and joy. Brenda was a grandmother to seven, and a Great grandmother to two, with whom she loved so dearly. Over the years, Brenda had many jobs, but her true passion was photography and writing. She was a poet, a storyteller, a visual artist that could capture any and every emotion through the eye of her camera lens or through her words. Brenda was truly a free spirit and had the inner drive to live with meaning, joy, and fulfillment. She loved the ocean, traveling, nature, animals, and all the beauty the world has to offer, but she was partial to her family and friends who she loved with every ounce of herself. She was also one of the few people to have found true love in this lifetime. A soulmate, she would say, Robert (Bob) Vanelli. The inside joke is that it only took them 67 years to find each other. They met in 2016 and connected immediately, as if they had known each other forever. They soon after bought their dream home in Hudson, Maine together. They married on May 6, 2017, at that very home she loved so much in Hudson, gathered with all their friends and family. She had seven amazing years with Bob, her dog, Oakley and her African Grey, Silvie, living and doing the things they loved to do. Brenda will be deeply missed by many and remembered as a strong, independent, loving, genuine woman, but most of all a beautiful soul. Brenda Jean Getchell Vanelli, survived by her husband Bob, her mother-in-Law, June. Her daughter, Angela Kingsbury and husband Keith. Her son, Zane Littlefield II and wife Kelli. Stepson, Nicholas and wife Danielle. Brothers, Clint and wife Joyce. Steven and his partner Bert. Grandchildren Brittany, Benjamin & Rachel, Kirsti, Dillion & Eliza, Vincenzo, Rocco, and Giovanni. Many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Cecil and Bessie Cole Getchell."

[11277] For his genealogy, see http://genroy.free.fr/belgique.html. He was originally named Georges Chrétien Frederic. As a youth during the Napoleonic Wars, Leopold fought in the Russian army. In 1830 Leopold refused the Greek throne but the following year was elected the first monarch of Belgium after that country was separated from the Netherlands. The first eight years of his reign were marked by differences with the Dutch that were settled in 1839 by a treaty reaffirming the neutrality of Belgium. The remainder of his reign was marked by peaceful development of the country. He was succeeded by Leopold II.
