Brackett, Sr., 100, died Tuesday morning, Aug. 10, 1997 at a local health-care facility in Belfast. He was born July 28, 1897 in Belfast, the son of Albert E. and Melissa E. (Flagg) Brackett. Mr. Brackett was the youngest child of three brothers and one sister. He started out as a bicycle repair man and as the automobile became more prevalent he eventually became an automotive repair man. In 1917 he drove the first bus from Rockland to Bangor for the McLaughlin Bus Lines. He was an avid outdoorsman fisherman and hunter. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Malden, Mass. He was predeceased by his wife, Hazel M. (Dean) Brackett, who died in 1987. Mr. Brackett is survived by three sons George and Shirley Brackett of Norway, Stuart and Betty Brackett Jr. of Hermon, Frederick and Charlotte Brackett of Searsport; a daughter, Margaret and John Merrithew of Searsport; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews."

[53967] Robert's obituary: "Colonel Robert E. 'Bob' Lindquist, U.S. Army Retired, 81, of Panorama Drive, Rock Springs Comm., Lavonia, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 at his home. Born on November 21, 1935 at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, he was the son of the late Roy E. Lindquist Sr. and Alice Murch Lindquist. Col. Lindquist was a 1958 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and received a Masters degree from George Washington University.Col. Lindquist retired after 28 years of service from the U. S. Army, where served two tours of duty in the Vietnam War. During his first tour, he served as Company Commander of C Company, 1st of the 12th, First Cav. Division and his second tour, he served as District Senior Advisor for the Trang Bang District of Vietnam. Col. Lindquist was a former Real Estate Agent for Paradise Reality, a member of the Hartwell First United Methodist Church and served as an Usher. He was a member of the American Legion Post #109, Hart County Golden K, where he received the Andy Stackhouse Award, received the Hartwell Rotary Clubs Four Way Test award, volunteered for several years for Meals on Wheels and directed the AARP Tax Aide Program for 18 years. Survivors include his wife: Norma Elsen Lindquist; two sons: Robert 'Rob' Lindquist Jr & Catherine of Ellerslie GA and Karl Lindquist & Renee of Columbia SC; a daughter: Debra Hooker & Michael of Ft. Collins CO; six grandchildren: Robert & Cydney Lindquist, Tyler & Samantha Lindquist and Erin & Claire Hooker; a brother: Roy E. Lindquist Jr. & Sara of Salinas CA also survives. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hartwell First United Methodist Church with Dr. R. Allen Stewart officiating.Burial with full military honors will be at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park."

She was born July 15, 1870, in Munroe Falls, Ohio. Ella married David L. Heimbaugh, March 30, 1887. They had two children, Roy L. Heimbaugh & Edith Heimbaugh. Their son Roy died of disease in France, during WWI. Ella died September 18, 1936, in Akron, Ohio and was buried September 20, 1936, in Stow Cemetery."
