There may be a record of her stone in the library. His stone is next to an old eastern red cedar tree which may be the most gnarly cedar ever! It is pictured on the right. Col. Wheeler may have taken part in the French and Indian War. He was the son of James Wheeler and Grizel (Squire) Wheeler. He married, first, Martha Salisbury on Mar 25, 1720 or 1721 at Swansea,MA. He married, second, Mercy (Jenckes) Ingalls on Oct 10,1745 at Rehoboth,MA. She was the daughter of Ebenezer Jenckes and Mary Butterworth Jenckes, and the widow of Benjamin Ingalls. Children(by first marriage): Aaron Wheeler, Valentine Wheeler, Martha Wheeler Martin, Mary Wheeler Miller, Philip Wheeler Jr, Jonathan Wheeler, Anna Wheeler Pierce, Ruth Wheeler Peck, and David Wheeler. Children(by second marriage): Mercy Wheeler, Rhoda Wheeler Leonard, Daniel Wheeler, and Rufus Jencks Wheeler."
