Mrs. Webber was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of East Blue Hill. In addition to her beloved husband of 49 years, Kermit, she is survived by one son, Dwight S. Webber of East Blue Hill; two daughters, Sharon Webber Brown of Surry and Margo Webber Roy of South Berwick; one sister Mrs, Harold (Thelma) Gray of South Blue Hill; seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, several nieces and nephews."

Margaret of Valois (1553-1615), queen of France and Navarre, daughter of
King Henry II of France and Queen Catherine de Médicis. In August 1572 she
married the leader of the French Huguenots (Protestants), Henry of
Navarre, later King Henry IV of France. The wedding, which was attended by
many prominent Huguenots, was the occasion of the brutal Massacre of St.
Bartholomew's Day, in which thousands of Huguenots were killed.
After becoming estranged from her husband, Margaret was retired to an
estate at Usson in 1587, where she later held court for various men of
letters. Her own memoirs have been held in high literary esteem. Although
her childless marriage was annulled in 1599, ten years after Henry acceded
to the throne, Margaret retained her title as queen. In 1605 she was
returned to Paris.
