Born September 12, 1916 in Jackson Twp., Shelby, OH to Bert and Rhea (Hoffman) White he had been a lifelong Shelby area resident. Mr. White was a farmer and had been employed with the former Shelby Cycle Co., Shelby Business Forms and retired from the Ohio Steel Tube Co. in 1978. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church and the Buckeye Iron Will Club. He loved gardening and enjoyed making latch-hook rugs. Survivors include his wife, Helen (Iceman) White, whom he wed October 25, 1938; his five children and their spouses; Ann and Doug Hedrick of Shelby, Wilbur E. "Gene" and Judy White of Bellevue; Roger and Joan White of Dublin, Mary Alice and Joe Platt of Martel, OH; and Susan and Jim Rabold of Los Alamos, NM; 20 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorotha Hochenshilt of Shelby, nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, and other relatives. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one infant granddaughter."
