Rob graduated from Bangor High School, Class of 1968, and was valedictorian of his post-graduate class at MCI. He attended the University of Maine at Orono, majoring in English literature. Rob was kind and a gentleman and a collector of music, classical and jazz. It was in his music he found comfort and peace during his final months. In addition to his mother, he will be sadly missed by his sister, Donna Ames of Bangor; his beloved niece Christie Ames; and his loyal cat, Oliver."
