Dorothy's obituary: "Hopkinton - Dorothy Blanche Davis, 87, died Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at Harris Hill Center.
She was born in Mariaville, Maine, on Nov. 29, 1917, the daughter of Ralph and Mattie (Frost) Foster. Prior to moving to Hopkinton in 2004, she resided in Veazie, Maine, for more than 50 years with her husband, Hugh Davis Jr., who died in 1994. After 35 years working at the Pilot's Grill in Bangor, Maine, she retired in 1982. Dorothy was an avid reader and benefited from frequent visits to the Hopkinton Town Library. She is survived by two sons, Raymond Dunham of Hopkinton and Brent Davis of Nashua; two daughters, Madalene Salvas of Concord and Shirley Kotzmoyer of Alexandria, Va; five sisters; two brothers, eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by an infant son, Richard, who died in 1935; and a daughter, Vivian Bracey, who died in 1990, in Bangor, Maine."

Hill, O.D., died at Bangor health-care center, April 30, 1996. 'O.B.' Hill was born in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and attended Arlington High School, Class of 1937. After a year at Kisler Business School, he began work in the family hardware business. In 1943 he joined the Army Air Force becoming a C-47 pilot of the 437th Troop Carrier Group, 84th Squadron, stationed in England and supporting D-Day and the European liberation. O.B. attended, the University of Maine after the war, graduating in 1949 with a B.S. in zoology. He married his loving wife, Eleanor, in June, and enrolled in the New England College of Optometry, graduating in 1953 with his doctorate. He established a private optometric practice in West Hartford, Conn. O.B. served in various public roles as president of the Hartford Optometric Society, commander of the American Legion, member and president of the West Hartford Civitan. He especially enjoyed a long tenure as editor and humorist at the Civitan newsletter. He was a member of the West Hartford Masonic Lodge for 55 years. He was active in the West Hartford Congregational Church. O.B. retired in 1984 to Port St. Lucie, and thoroughly enjoyed his artwork, tennis, and editing his local community newsletter. In 1995, he moved to a retirement community in Sun City Center, Fla. Surviving are his wife, Eleanor (Burrill) Hill of Bangor and Sun City Center, two daughters, Debbie Hill Hunter of Veazie and Sharon Hill Shaw of New Hope, four grandchildren, Michael Hunter, Lauren Hunter, Danielle Shaw and Stephen Shaw; a sister-in-law, Margaret and her husband, David Hempstead of Sun City Center, and Onawa, Maine."

Cliff was educated in Lincoln schools and spent four and one half years in the U.S. Army Air Force in World War II. He served in Australia, New Guinea and the Philippines. He was awarded the American Defense Service Medal with Asiatic Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon with two Bronze Service Stars. He worked for 35 years as a mechanic at McCormick Motor Co., Lincoln, along with his father and two brothers, Dale and Nick. He was a member of Horeb Lodge AF & AM, Lincoln. In addition to his wife, Kay, he is survived by two sons, Dalton McCormick of Lewiston and Mark McCormick of Lincoln; two granddaughters, Carrie and Jessica of Lewiston; two sisters, Lauril McFaIls of Enfield and Sandra Libby of Sorento. Cliff was predeceased by his parents, Lester and Pearl McCormick; three brothers, Dale, Avon 'Nick' and Norman McCormick; a sister, Priscilla Collier."
