[48720] Margarette's obituary: "Soutwest Harbor - Margarette Haynes, 89, died May 5, 2015, at MDI Hospital in Bar Harbor. She was born April 15, 1926, at Bar Harbor, to Charles and Clara (Danico) Mitchell. Margarette leaves behind four children, Charles Haynes and his life partner Marilyn (Meader) Link of Seal Cove, Robert Haynes and his wife, Terese (Coombs) Haynes, of Gainesville, Fla., daughter Diana Marie Haynes Lawson and husband, David Lawson, of Bernard, William Haynes and wife, Anne Madeline (Krommenohl) Haynes, of West Tremont, four grandsons, David Lawson, Joshua Lawson, Robert Haynes Jr., William Haynes Jr., three granddaughters, Victoria (Haynes) Hepburn, Valerie Haynes, Jessica Haynes, and nine great-grandchildren as well as her youngest brother, Carlton Mitchell and his wife, Gloria, of Trenton. Margarette was predeceased by her husband, Roger Henry Haynes Jr. of Northeast Harbor. Margarette was a voracious reader and usually had multiple books going at the same time. She loved the family camp on Flanders Pond in Sullivan and spent many happy weekends there with Roger, her children, their spouses, and their children. In her later years, much of her enjoyment was in the company of her daughter Diana who took her on shopping outings and took care of her needs. She was a truly gentle and loving person and will be sorely missed by her family."
