Surviving are his wife, the former Doris Masser; four sons, Gary Shade, Halifax, David Shade, Millersburg, Thomas Leitzel, Catonsville, Md and Timothy Leitzel, Salt Point, N.Y.; two daughters, Debbie Kreitzer, Port Trevorton, and Christine Behm, Wyomissing; a sister, Lillian Welker, Gratz; six grandchildren."
