[1791] A Duke Gerard was the Burgundian vassal of the early French ruler, Charles Martel, and came to Martel's aid, saving him from death in a battle against the Saracens - see "Histoire de Charles Martel" by Loyset Liédet (1467 - 1472). This may be father or grandfather of Gerard de Rousillion. http://www.chez.com/preskill/genmantes.htm reports in 2003 that Gerard de Rousillion is son of Lisiard, Comte de Fezen, and Bertha of Tours. Roussillion is in Languedoc, in southwestern France.
[29497] See http://www.angelfire.com/ny/chickened/crowellfamily.html and http://www.angelfire.com/ny/chickened/hathawayfamily.html (not verified) which states Hannah is daughter of John Hathaway and Hannah Hallett and reports "The Custom House Records lists John Hadaway of Barnstable MA born 1617. He came to Massachusetts in 1635 on the ship BLESSING from London. On 1 July 1656 he married Hannah Hallett, daughter of Andrew Hallett and Mary (unknown). After her death, John married 1 May 1672 Elizabeth Coleman born 28 Feb 1652, daughter of Edward Coleman of Yarmouth MA. John had moved to Yarmouth about 1651 and acquired a small estate. He was intemperate, improvident and wasted his and his wifes estates. He died at Yarmouth in 1697 having reached an old age of 80. His will was dated 3 Aug 1689; and proved 20 Feb 1697."
