[29496] See http://www.angelfire.com/ny/chickened/crowellfamily.html (not verified) which states John is son of Yelverton Crowell and Elizabeth Hammond and reports "Yelverton Crowell married Elizabeth Hammond. He is found in the records of Yarmouth MA on Cape Cod as early as 1640. His will is dated 23 Dec 1681 and proved 8 Mar 1683/4. It is reported that he died "suddenly" 24 Oct 1683. Elizabeth died Nov 1703. Yelverton may be the son of John Crowell who died in Yarmouth MA 7 Jan 1673; married to Elishua (unknown). This early family is largely undocumented and reliability of information is suspect."
