My database does not show a parent for Alfonso I (The Catholic) of Asturias; Brian's does: Pedro of Cantabria. But Brian's Alfonso's descendants (therefore Ermesinda's, therefore Pelayo's) run into dead ends: Alfonso the Chaste (son of Fruela of Asturias), Vimerana (-- my Vimeranus spouse of Aurelius???), no spouse, no children, and Adosinda m.
