('Brut y Tywysogyon,' entry for 1210) Married in 1189 to Gruffydd ap Rhys, Prince of Deheubarth. d. 25 July 1201, buried at the Abbey of Strata Florida (ByT). After his father's death in 1197, Gruffydd was handed over to the English government by Gwenwynwyn, lord of Powys, imprisoned in Corfe castle, then brought in to negotiate with Powys during Gwenwynwyn's campaign against William de Braose's stronghold at Painscastle. His wife Maud was kept as his hostage, and an entry on the Pipe Roll for 1198 shows her in Bridgenorth castle. [61408] Duane's obituary: "Sedgwick - Duane Pert, 84, passed away April 2, 2021 at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital. Duane was born on November 15th, 1936 in Blue Hill to Linnett (Bowden) and Merle Pert. He lived his whole life in Maine and attended George Stevens Academy. He spent his life working hard and had a variety of different professions that he made a living at. He worked for many years cutting wood, driving wood trucks, he also had a team of working horses that yarded wood for him. He worked forty years at Astbury Construction as well as driving dump trucks. He loved taking photographs of his family and grandchildren when they would gather for holidays, he also enjoyed taking pictures of beautiful landscapes and scenery. His photos were very special to him. He loved eating lobsters and all meals that he shared with his family. Duane is survived by his son Billy Pert and wife, Mamie of Franklin, ME.; his daughter Dawn (Pert) Milliken of Ellsworth, ME.; his stepson Brent Harmon and wife, Diane of Brooksville, ME.; sister, Florence Conley; brother Merle Pert Jr.; brother Colby Pert and wife, Peggy and many nieces and nephews. He was Grampa to Britney Lupo, Jessica Pert and husband Dennis, Gabe Bowden and wife Erin, Brianya Williams and husband Ben, Scott Milliken and wife Breanna, Matthew Milliken, Lindsay Holst and husband Nate, Britt Harmon and many beloved great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife Roberta of 52 years and son-in-law George E. Milliken Jr."
