[49448] Find A Grave memorial 69173009 reports: "Some questions have been raised about the spelling of Ami B Beals name. His grandfather was Ammi Barnabus Beal, however the following documentation has been found to varify the spelling in this case. His WW I Draft Registration signed in his own hand, his gravestone and footstone, Cemetery records, 1910, 1920, 1930 Census' Records, some of his children's birth and marriage certificates."
[29435] Mary's information is from Find A Grave Memorial # 129096571. Ancestry.com offers: "Booth Name Meaning - Northern English and Scottish: topographic name for someone who lived in a small hut or bothy, Middle English both(e), especially a cowman or shepherd. The word is of Scandinavian origin (compare Old Danish both, Old Norse buð) and was used to denote various kinds of temporary shelter, typically a cowshed or a herdsman's hut. In the British Isles the surname is still more common in northern England, where Scandinavian influence was more marked, and in Scotland, where the word was borrowed into Gaelic as both(an)."

[6424] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 3 January 2012: "Sangerville - Graham Lewis Nuite, 73, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, Dec. 30, 2011. Born July 12, 1938, in Dexter, the second son of Doran and Katherine (Wingate) Nuite. He graduated from Piscataquis Community High School in 1956 and the University Maine with Bachelor of Science degree in animal science, in 1960. Graham was a member of South Sangerville Grange and Abner Wade Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years. He enjoyed gardening, genealogy, human and bovine, traveling, dancing, and long hours shooting the breeze about cows, politics and local history. Graham was one who always wanted to be where the action was, and, when he got there, it was clear he and his irreverent wit had arrived. Graham is survived by two daughters, Brenda Nuite and Jay Esty of Neenah, Wis., and Janice and Kenneth Gatchell of Dexter; three grandchildren, Heather Plungy, Lyman and Sara Bill; two great-granddaughters, Madison and Lilly Plungy; brother, Wilson Nuite; sister, Barbara and David Lockwood; many nephews and nieces. Graham was predeceased by his elder brother, Bradley, in 2004."
[52682] Find A Grave memorial 64310168 offers John's obituary: "John 'Jack' Averill Tandy, 82, passed away peacefully at the Island Nursing Home, Deer Isle on February 14, 2009 of a Neurological Disorder. Jack was born April 22, 1926 in Greenwich Connecticut to Burton S. and Sally R. Tandy. He attended elementary and middle school in Greenwich before graduating from Kingston High School, Kingston, New York in 1944. After graduation, Jack enlisted in the US Navy and served on the Destroyer Escort USS Farenholt, DD 491. Honorably Discharged from the Navy in 1946, Jack attended Goddard College in Vermont, but left after one year to pursue other 'adventures' in VT, NH and ME. Jack finally settled in Mattituck, New York where he met and married Marilyn Charters. Jack was employed as a foreman in the Overhead Lines Section of the Long Island Lighting Company for 37 years, retiring in 1985 to summer in Maine and winter on Long Island. After 42 years of marriage, Marilyn passed away in 1995 and Jack moved to Maine where he married his 'childhood sweetheart', Ethel (Tapley) Howard in 1997. Jack is survived by his loving wife Ethel of Brooklin, ME, sister, Priscilla Tandy of Brooksville, ME, sons Richard B. Tandy and wife Dee, Jack Tandy and wife Donna of Mattituck, NY, Glenn C.
