He was born February 16, 1944, to Herbert and Mavis (Perry) Morgan, and was the oldest of seven children. He was predeceased by both parents; a sister, Loretta (Morgan) Smiley; and brothers, Larry, Michael and Marlon Morgan. After his graduation from Sherman High School Russell, joined the National Guard and worked in the logging industry. He was a proud Vietnam veteran and was awarded the Bronze Star with One Oak Leaf Cluster. Russell is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sharon (Carver) Morgan; a sister, Mellony Morgan of Oakfield; a brother, Scott Morgan of Caribou; special niece/goddaughter, Windy Pocock; special nephews, William 'Billy' and Tyler Martin, as well as many other sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to extend a special thanks to niece, Brenda Stevens, for her support through his illness."
