[59106] John's obituary: "Ellsworth John H. Fox, Jr., 91, died December 17, 2020 at a Blue Hill healthcare facility. He was born April 28, 1929 in Ellsworth the son of John H. and Geraldine L. (Salisbury) Fox, Sr. John graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1947. He loved to play baseball as a catcher in his early years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising a garden, and watching the Boston Red Sox. He liked history and kept a daily weather diary. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War serving in Germany. John worked for the State of Maine Highway Department for 42 years. He was a foreman in both Washington and Hancock county. He was a member of the VFW Post #109, Maine State Employees Association and the Church of Jesus Christ and Lamb of God, Jonesport, R.L.D.S. John is survived by a son, John H. Fox III. and wife Connie of Florida; daughter, Carol Sheehan of Bucksport; grandchildren, Shasta Philpot and husband Jed, John H. Fox IV and Brian Sheehan and wife Ashley; great-granddaughter, Maeve Philpot; sister, Sylvia Moon; cousin, Richard Hardison; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Richard Carlisle. He was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Marguerite A. Fox, sisters, Alice Hanscom and Mary Kelley; brothers, Dana, and Arthur Fox."

Find A Grave Memorial 60177152 offers: "Son of James and Grizzell (Sylvester) Lloyd. James Lloyd became owner of the land, Caumsett (formerly Horse Neck), in 1684. In 1685 the land was renamed "Manor of Queen's Village", annexed to Oyster Bay, Queens. Today the area is known as Lloyd Harbor and much of the land has become Caumsett State Historic Park. It is now part of the Town of Huntington in Suffolk Co. At the age of 24, Henry gave up a shipping business in Newport, RI in order to farm the land. Henry Lloyd's house, built in 1711, still stands. It is known as the Henry Lloyd Manor House.
Henry Married Rebecca Nelson, dau. of John Nelson on 27 Nov 1708 in Boston, Mass. He later married Mary Clark on 23 Oct 1729."

He was a mechanic for 35 years at the Du Pont Co. Holly Run plant in Newport. He retired in 1976. He also worked as a handyman at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Wilmington Manor. He was survived by his wife, three daughters, a brother, two sisters and nine grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial was offered in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Du Pont Highway, Wilmington Manor."
