[61677] Kennith's obituary: "Kennith M. Lorenz - Ken Lorenz, age 83, passed away on Tuesday evening, May 20, 2014 at the Appleton Medical Center. Ken was born in Wabeno, Wisconsin on September 22, 1930, son of the late Paul and Emma (Pagenkopf) Lorenz. He attended high school in Wabeno and graduated in the class of 1949. He immediately entered the United States Army, and it was there he met his future wife, Laurice Salisbury. The couple married in Okinawa on June 10, 1952, and Ken's service continued until 1953. Laurice preceded Ken in death in 2009. Ken was employed by WE Energies for thirty-five years, retiring on June 1, 1988. The couple moved to Crivitz where they resided for fourteen years and Ken was a member of the Athelstane / Silver Cliff American Legion, Grace Lutheran Church, and the Twin Bridge Rescue Squad. In 1992, they moved to Little Chute. Ken had been a longtime and faithful member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Kaukauna. Ken is survived by three loving children: Linda (Mark) Bucholtz of Eastpointe, Michigan; Vickie Lorenz of Little Chute; and Bob (Donna) Lorenz of Pikeville, North Carolina; and a son-in-law: Wayne Dietsch, Sr. There are also six grandchildren: Wayne (Angel) Dietsch II, Christin (Kyle) Wam, Melissa (Steve) Pitts, Heather Bucholtz, Kenny "Scott" Lorenz and his special friend Mindy Day, and Aaron Lorenz; three great-grandchildren: Wayne Dietsch III, Trinity Lorenz, and Nixon Wam; six step-great-grandchildren: Adelynn, Arwyn, and Mark Pitts; Josh Scrivens; and Savannah and Bryce Kramer; and a sister: Marcella Starky. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Anita; a granddaughter: Jessica; his brothers: Raymond (Ruth) Lorenz, Alroy (Alma) Lorenz, Harold (Clara) Lorenz, Orville (Pat) Lorenz, Irvin (Shirley) Lorenz; and his sisters: Eleanor (Paul) Horning, Beatrice (Tony) Lewandowski, and Helen Lorenz."

He had been a lifelong resident of the Lykens Valley, and had engaged in farming for many years. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Elizabethville. His wife, the former Hattie May Rowe preceded him in death, February 15, 1950. Survivors are four sons: Norman Romberger of Harrisburg; Nevin Romberger, Elizalbethville R. D.; Mark Romberger, Lykens R. D.; Elwood Romberger, Elizabethville; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Services will be held from the Buffington Funeral Home, Elizabethville, at 2:00 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Rev. W. Z. Artz, pastor of Salem Lutheran Church, town, assisted by Rev. E. B. Harris, pastor of Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church, Millersburg, will officiate and interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Elizabethville."

He was born July 22, 1940, in Castine, the son of Paul W. and Marvis (Howard) Wardwell. Dale served in the U.S. Navy for 12 years during the Vietnam War and Korean War. He was a member of the Rising Sun Lodge, Orland and Anah Shrine. He is survived by a son, Bryan Wardwell of Sedgwick; stepson, Richard Combs of Alton; sister, Thelma Farnham of Vinalhaven; two grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Rebecca McLain; and two infant brothers. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, with a Masonic service after. Interment will be at Rural Cemetery, Sedgwick."
