[41632] John and Alice had Alice Yohn Sanderson (1896 - 1960) amd John M Sanderson (1903 - 1972). "The Perry County Democrat [Bloomfield, PA], 5 February 1936," p. 3: "John M. Sanderson, Sr., well known resident of Centre township, died of general debility at his home near this borough Monday morning at 10 o'clock. He was 78 years old last November. Mr. Sanderson was a son of John and Sarah A. Sanderson, who lived on the Sanderson homestead near here. When he became a young man he entered the employ of the Norfolk and Western Railroad and was an engineer on that road for many years, during which time he resided with his family in Roanoke, Va. On his retirement from the railroad he came back to his old home here. He is survived by his wife, who was Miss Alice Yohn, of Saxton, Pa., and two children, Johni M. Sanderson, Jr., of this place, and Miss Alice Sanderson, at home. One brother is also living, Elmer Sanderson, of Saxton. The deceased was a member of the Lutheran church and of the Masonic fraternity. He was a very kindhearted man, a friend of the friendless, and no one appealed to him for help in vain."
