[34290] Robert is from the unverified Higgins Family Tree in Ancestry.com in 2013. For his maritime history see "Maritime History of Brooksville," Capt. LcCain W. Smith (Brooksville Hisorical Society, 2005), p. 38.
[29399] Margaret is daughter of John Blomville (b. ca. 1332 in Co. Essex).
[1685] "Ancestral Roots..." (Balt., 1992) cites a source claiming Theophana is probably dau. of Leo Phokas, son of Sophia Phokas by her husband Constantin Skleros, brother of Marie, 1st wife of Basileus John Tsimices. Cf. chart and discussion at http://www.friesian.com/romania.htm#macedon. Her life and times are dramatically portrayed in "The Last Apocalypse: Europe at the Year 1000 A.D.," James Reston, Jr. (New York: Doubleday, 1998), Chapter 11. http://www.guide2womenleaders.com/womeninpower/Womeninpower03.htm offers: "983-91 Regent Dowager Empress Theophano of the Holy Roman Empire - A Byzantine Princess who at the age of seventeen was given to the young Saxon emperor Otto II. Though elegant and a delicate beauty, she was high-spirited and a superb politician who brought with her an intimate knowledge of the intricacies of court life. When her husband died, leaving her with a three year old son, she took the title "Imperator Augustus" and defended her son Otto IIIs title for seven years from those who challenged him. For seven years Theophano with tact and firmness administered the empire in her son's name. She was called by a contemporary 'a woman of discreet and firm character...with truly masculine strength.' Sometimes she used the male title 'imperator augustus', and lived (ca. 955-991)." Cf. http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands and "The Empress Theophano," Adelbert Davids, ed. (Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 1995). Also see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theophanu,

[47608] "Bangor Daily News, 20 August 2020": "Orland - On August 17, 2020, Gladys Leach of Orland, Maine, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born June 1, 1934, in Bangor, Maine, the daughter of Stanley and Diana (Gilman) Lanpher. She was raised on Verona Island, Maine, and attended Bucksport High School, where she met Norris Leach, the love of her life. They both knew it was true love the moment their eyes met. The love affair lasted for more than 69 1/2 years. They genuinely enjoyed every moment together and shared their love and friendship with everyone they met. As a young girl, Gladys dreamed of becoming a beautician. She went on to fulfill that dream in the late 1960s attending D'Lor Beauty School and then becoming the owner/proprietor of Cameo Coiffures hair salon, a highly successful enterprise she ran for over 27 years. She loved and adored her family and friends. Her gift of making and acquiring friends was evident to everyone she met. Those new-found friendships made during her travels spanned from Maine to Florida and beyond. They also resided in Silver Springs, Florida, for 14 years. She never met anyone she wouldn't invite home so she could prepare them a delicious down-home country meal. Once she shared her culinary delights with strangers, they were hooked and would become part of her cherished group of life-long friends. Gladys lived her life for the Lord and God's light shined brightly through her for others to see. She will be deeply missed by her immediate family as well as all those extended family members acquired along the road of life. She was predeceased by her father, Stanley Lanpher, when she was just eight years old; her mother, Diana and stepfather, Bernard Bridges; her brother, Warren Lanpher; daughter-in-law, Madeleine (Gay) Leach; several brother and sisters-in-law, Wallace Leach and wife, Eva, Melvin Adams, Harry Leach and wife, Marlene. She is survived by her cherished husband, Norris Leach; her children: son, Stanley Leach and wife, Diane, son, Timothy Leach and his wife, Rhonda, daughter, Wendy Leach and her partner, Phil; her grandchildren, Anna Macomber and husband, Matt, Bret Leach, Christopher Leach and wife, Hannah (and soon-to-be baby, Oskar), Josh Leach and wife, Emily, Kaylee Annette Richards and husband, Paul (P.J.), Andrew Findlay and girlfriend, Lexi; her great-grandchildren, Hannah and Isla Findlay, Jordyn and Jaxon Richards; her sister, Della Clements and husband, Paul; brother, Bernard Bridges Jr. and wife, Shirley; sister-in-law, Doris Adams; many very special nieces and nephews, that were all a big part of her life. She was a member of the Bucksport Methodist Church, The Red Hat Society, the Brewer Eagles Club #3177 Auxiliary, and formerly the National hairdresser's Association."
[12238] Katherine was living Feb. 8, 1441. She is daughter and coheir of Sir Thomas Fitz Nichol (b. ca. 1354, d. 1418) of Hull (alias Hill) and Nympsfield (Gloucester), sheriff of Gloucestershire 1382-3, knight of the shire 14 times, 1382-1414, Justice of the Peace in 1382, coroner (1392-95), steward of the Earl of Stafford (1388-89), by his first wife, Margery. Sir Thomas descends from Robert Fitz Harding - see "Ancestral Roots..." (Balt., 1992 - 7th Ed.), line 234A.
