[43837] "Counties of LaGrange and Noble, Indiana - Historical and Biographical," (Chicago: F. A. Battey & Co., 1882), p. 431, states Elizabeth is daughter and only child of Cyrus Fuller, a native of Coldwater, MI, and Mary A. Rowe of OH.
Barbara Fleming's Genealogy at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~barbpretz/ps04/ps04_082.html offers: "He was said to be "of Hyde in Loders; esq. He was granted a coat-of-arms 22 Dec 1525".
Coat of arms "(granted 22 Dec 1525 to John Hyde of Hyde) Or, a chevron Azure between 3 lozenges of the second; on a chief Gules, a saltire engrailed between 2 eagles of the field: Crest, a pheasant's head erased Azure, crested & jelloped Purpure, on his neck a lozenge Or between 4 bezants, holding in his beak a pansy flower proper with leaves & stalk vert. (This fussy design is rather different from the arms actually born by the head of the family a century later)."
"The established genealogy of the Hyde family, to which Margaret Hyde, wife of Robert Mohun alias Moone, belonged, begins with her grandfather, John Hyde, and the chief facts that are known about the early generations of this family are assembled in the following pedigree. According to Hutchins (History of Dorset, vol. 1, p. 359) the family takes its name from Hyde, a hamlet in the parish of Bothenhampton, co. Dorset; but from the grant of arms described below, under No. 1, it appears that there was an estate or locality called Hyde in the parish of Lodres (Loders), co. Dorset."
"John Hyde, of Hyde in the parish of Lodres, co. Dorset, 'gengilhome,' the name of whose wife is unknown, received from Sir Thomas Wryothesley, Garter King of Arms, and from Thomas Benolte, Clarencieux King of Arms, the following grant of arms, dated 22 Dec. 1525." Description in French to be entered.
