Wiest, 78, of Klingerstown, who died Friday night at Harrisburg Hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church, Erdman, Lykens area. The Rev. Walter L. Hafer Jr., Klingerstown, will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Wiest was admitted to the hospital Jan. 1. She was born in Klingerstown area, May 30, 1911, a daughter of the late John and Verdie Schlegel Reed. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Erdman, its Rainbow Class, and was active in Pennsylvania Dutch plays. She was a member of Mahantongo Valley and Tri-Valley Senior Citizens. She was married to Clarence E. Wiest on Dec. 24, 1934, at Lykens. She was preceded in death by two brothers. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Larona Smink, Klingerstown area; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; six sisters, Flossie Reiner, Sunbury, Helen Ramer and Lila Geist, both of Pitman area; Ethel Kohler, Spring Glen, and Violet Jagel and Margaret Enders, both of Millersburg."
