[7465] Her baptismal record is published in "The Perry Review", Vol. 20-23 (Newport, PA: The Perry Historians, 2000), p.111, and reports that she was baptised by the Rev. John W. Heim (Lutheran) with Daniel Rausch and wife as witnesses. "The Perry County Democrat [Bloomfield, PA], 30 Nov 1932": "Mrs. Hannah Mary Briner Brown, widow of Andrew Brown, passed away at her home in Newville, at 1 p.m. Sunday, November 27, following a stroke of paralysis which she sustained on the 23rd. The deceased was a daughter of the late George and Magdaline (Seager) Briner and was at Mt. Pleasant, near New Germantown, January 27, 1845. At the time of her death she was aged 87 years and 10 months. She was the youngest of a family of eight children, all the rest having preceded her in death. Her husband passed away in October, 1924. Mrs. Brown is survived by the following children: Mary, Mrs. John Oiler, Newville; George, at home, and Sadie, Mrs. Warner, of McCrea; also three grandchildren, Vernal, Garlin and Bessie Warner."

"The Standard [Lykens, Pennsylvania], 13 April 1923" p. 1: "Charles Hartman, aged 67 years, one of Tower City's best known and most highly respected citizens died suddenly Wednesday morning at 7:30 o'clock at his home, 117 Grand Ave., while seated at the table eating breakfast. Death being due to heart failure. At the time of his death he held the office of borough supervisor. Fraternally he was a member of the Knights of Golden Eagle. To survive is an only sister, Mrs. Mary Phillips, formerly of Williamstown, who has been making her home with him since the death of his wife several years ago. His funeral will take place Saturday morning, 10 o'clock with services at the house by the Rev. Chas. Slinghoff. Burial will be made in McAllister's cemetery in Clark's Valley."

Shamokin News-Dispatch, 24 July 1963, p. 2, reported Guy Herrold chaired the Democratic party in his community, served as Democratic state committeeman from Northumberland Co., PA, and at the time of his death was employed by the PA Dept. of Labor and Industry at Williamsport, PA as a building inspector (appointed by Gov. Scrantons Republican administration although still registered as a Democrat).
Republican and Herald [Pottsville, PA], 5 November 1963, p. 12: Lewisburg, Pa. (UPI) Guy Herrold,; 61, Sunbury, was killed Monday night in the collision of his automobile and another on Route 15, seven miles south of here. State police said a northbound car operated by Roger Zimmerman, 22, Shamokm Dam, went over a medial strip and over turned in the path of Herrolds vehicle. Zimmerman, was taken to Sunbury Community Hospital with a possible fractured skull. Both cars were completely demolished.
