[9265] Ruth m. James B. Lewis.
[27393] "Medieval English Ancestors of Certain Americans," Carl Boyer III (Santa Clarita, CA, 2001), p. 246, suggests he is son of Robert de Umfravill who was said to have been granted Redesdale, Northumberland, by William the Conqueror, according to his descendants . . . but the deed was an early forgery. reports "Umfraville, the name of an English baronial family, derived from Amfreville in Normandy. Members of this family obtained lands in Northumberland, including Redesdale and Prudhoe, from the Norman kings, and a later member, Gilbert de Umfraville (died 1245), married Matilda, daughter of Malcolm, earl of Angus, and obtained this Scottish earldom."
[17669] Ancestry.com offers: "Parker Name Meaning - English: occupational name for a gamekeeper employed in a medieval park, from an agent derivative of Middle English parc 'park' (see Park 1). This surname is also found in Ireland."

[22395] Thomas and his ancestry are from Richard Timothy Conroy (richardconroy@earthlink.net - 5016 Sixteenth St. N.W., Washington, DC 20011) in 2003 - see notes for Thomas's son, Richard. He reports Thomas is of Patmore, Bedfordshire, and married Jane Brown, daughter of Weston Brown, by whom he also had another son, Alexander. See Waters' "Genealogical Gleanings in England" XLVII:532. [55922] Duane's obituary: "Ellsworth - Duane Galen Snow, 75, passed away on April 23, 2020 at his home with loved ones by his side following a brief illness. He was born to Galen and Joyce Snow in Bangor, Maine on Oct. 25, 1944. He spent the early years of his life developing a strong love of animals, especially cows, while growing up on the family farm. Duane found joy in many things, but especially celebrating holidays, going for rides (especially ones with bumps), going to the circus and the fair, and cake. Duane had an infectious laugh and a twinkle in his eye that warmed the hearts of all who knew him. Duane is predeceased by his parents and his brother, Marvin. He is survived by his sister, Brenda Snow, of Murphy, NC and several nieces and nephews. Duane also leaves behind his very large and loving family at Yesterday's Children, Inc. in Ellsworth."
