[43086] "Goshen Daily Democrat," 8 Aug.1904, p. 1: "Daniel Mitchel Expires - Daniel Michel, 86 years old, a well known farmer who resided with his son, Henry Mitchel, near Dunlap, died at 12 o'clock Sunday at the home of his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Henry Shetterly in Cass county, Michigan, his demise being due to heart failure. Mr. Mitchel went to Mrs. Shatterly's a month ago and was taken ill the first day he was there. He gradually grew weaker. The remains will be interred Tuesday afternoon, services being held at the Rowe church, near Dunlap. In addition to Mrs. Shetterly and Henry Mitchel, one son, Will Mitchel, lives in Elkhart, being connected with the Indiana Railway company."
