[50123] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine]. 21 August 2017": "Steuben - Evans Benjamin Beal Sr., born May 9, 1965, was taken from us on Saturday Aug. 19, 2017, after losing his battling with cancer. He was the son of the late Stanley E. Beal and mother Kathleen L. Beal of Milbridge. He is survived by his wife, Tracy Beal, two sons, Evans Beal Jr. of Franklin and Justin Beal of Milbridge, and Josh Beal, who was like his son, three brothers, Anthony Beal, David and Kim Beal of Milbridge, Peter and Terry Beal of Sullivan, three sisters, Cheryl and Tom Murphy of Ellsworth, Elaine Beal of Cherryfield and Mary Beal of Milbridge, and too many nieces and nephews to list. He was a kind and loving husband and father who was always there for us. He was liked by all who knew him. He did many jobs though his life, mostly seasonal work. He loved working on the lobster boat with his captain, Leland Beal. He enjoyed staying home hanging with family, watching TV and spending time with his grandson Benjamin, the apple of his eye. . . . "Duncannon Record [Duncannon, Pennsylvania], 2 November 1950," p. 12: "John W. Freeman, 82, a retired farmer, formerly of near Centre Church, died at the home of his son, Luther Freeman, Elizabethtown, Monday afternoon. He is survived by his son, Luther, four grandchildren and four great-grandichildren. He was a member of Tressler Memorial Lutheran Church, Loysville."
[61932] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 10 April 2026: "Aurora, Maine - Timothy Herbold passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, in the cabin he built on the Union River in Aurora. He was held by his wife of 40 years, Jennifer Herbold. Tim was born on June 13, 1959, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Charlotte and Tony Herbold. He was the second in a family that would grow to include eight children. They moved from Utah to Michigan, Vermont, and then to Oakland, California, following Tony's English teaching professorships. Seeking a different way of life, the family settled in Amherst, Maine, in 1970. Tim fit in, sharing in the humor, stories, and adventures of the tight-knit community. He attended a one-room schoolhouse and embraced learning all about farming, fishing, and nature from the friends he made across generations. Silver, a horse he trained, couldn't be ridden by anyone else. Music was a constant source of joy in Tim's life. He connected with people by sharing it and dancing. After the unexpected death of his father when Tim was 15, he took over managing the family farm and helped his mother in caring for his younger siblings. He attended John Bapst High School in Bangor before entering the University of Vermont to study veterinary science. A year later, Tim transferred to the University of Maine, where he could be closer to home. He studied civil engineering and worked in the woods cutting timber. In 1983 Tim was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. He persevered and went into remission at 23. In 1984 Tim met Jennifer Higgins of Bangor, who is one of Dick and Valerie Higgins' 14 children. He brought Jennifer on a canoe ride on the Union River, and showed her a small old home on a peaceful hill, to ask her, "Do you like this place?" They moved there and were married at St. John's Catholic Church in 1985. They brought their two large families and the community together with a big celebration at the Amherst Town Hall. Tim and Jennifer welcomed four children, Sylvia in 1985, Isobel in 1987, Lily in 1989, and Tristan in 1992. The family lived in Bangor during the school year and spent summers in Aurora. During Tim's life, he worked for The Bangor and Aroostook Railroad, and then in civil construction as a site foreman. He never ceased working on home construction projects, gardening, cooking, traveling, hunting, and fishing. He often went out in the morning to catch trout for breakfast. Tim passed his love of fishing onto his grandchildren. Tim and Jennifer relocated full-time to Aurora in 2020 and began building a house on Harriman Pond. The house was designed with their daughter, Isobel. Tim will be loved and remembered by his devoted wife Jennifer; his daughter, Sylvia; daughter, Isobel and her husband, Palmer, with their children, Jack and Skye; daughter, Lily and her husband, Neil McGhee, with their baby, Emmylou; and son Tristan. He is remembered by his siblings, Sarah, Hannah, Hillary, Jessica, Seth, Emily, and Pablo."

The Pane-Joyce Genealogy at http://aleph0.clarku.edu/~djoyce/gen/report/rr09/rr09_235.html offers: "William removed from Boston to Dorchester about 1686, then to Braintree about 1690. Of his twenty children, only five lived to adulthood. On 31 Jul 1673 William married Anne Glover, daughter of Nathaniel Glover & Mary Smith (ca 1630-29 Jul 1703), at Boston, MA. Born in 1656 at Dorchester, MA. Anne died at Barnstable, MA, on 29 Jul 1730. Anne was the only daughter of Nathaniel Glover of Dorchester."
Find A Grave memorial 69717520 offers: "Second great grandnephew of Rev. Edmund Grindal, Archbishop of Canterbury during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I of England, and the third son and seventh child of Edward and Rachel Perne Rawson, William was a prominent merchant and importer of foreign goods in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1673 he married Anne Glover, the only daughter of Nathaniel and Mary (Smith) Glover of Dorchester, Mass. They had twenty children, only five of whom survived infancy or early childhood: William, David, Ebenezer, Nathaniel, Edward, and Peletiah Rawson. Ref: The Rawson Family: A Revised Memoir of Edward Rawson, by E. B. Crane. Worcester, 1875
William, third son and seventh child of Edward and Rachel (Perne) Rawson, was born in Newbury, Massachusetts, May 21, 1651, and was educated for a mercantile life. He became a prominent merchant and importer of foreign goods. Upon the times of his marriage he resided with his father in Rawson Lane, now Bromfield street, Boston, where he kept a dry goods store. In 1689 he sold his estate and removed with his family to Dorchester, where he lived upon a portion of the "Newbury Farm" inherited by his wife. He afterwards purchased a tract of land in Braintree, which is now known as the ancient Rawson farm. It is situated near Neponset Village and has been passed down from father to son to the fifth generation. The present house is on the same site where William Rawson built his homestead. Here he lived nearly forty years and died September 20, 1726, in his seventy-fifth year. He married, 1673, Anne Glover, only daughter of Nathaniel and Mary (Smith) Glover of Dorchester. She died about 1730, aged seventy-four years. In twenty-five years they had twenty children: Anne, died in infancy; Wilson; Margaret; Edward, died young; Rachel; Dorothy, died young; William; David; Dorothy; Ebenezer, died young; Thankful; Nathaniel; Ebenezer; Edward; Anne; Patience; Peletiah; Grindal; Mary. - William Richard Cutter, Genealogical and Personal Memoirs Relating to the Families of Boston and Eastern Massachusetts, vol 1, pp. 377-378.
