She was born in Penobscot, the daughter of Job and Mary McCaslin Staples, and had been a resident of this town for 60 years. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Jennie Jacobs; her sons, Wilbur R. and Clifford N. Staples; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Clara Perkins, several grandchildren and a great grandson."
