"My Maine Heritage: A Genealogy Web Site," Kathrine Cole Aydelott, Ph.D. (kaydelott@yahoo.com) - http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com./~megen - reports that James bought his father's inn ca. 1670 and also offers:
Plymouth Records, May 1665: "James Cole, for breaking the peace in striking Robert Ransom, is fined 00-03-04; and whereas hee spake unadvisedly in saying 'Kill the rogue' meaning the said Robert Ransom, hee taking notice of his great oversight in so speaking, and it being spoken when he was in great passion, seeing his brother much abused by said Ransom, and that he, the said Cole, hath been of a peaceable disposition, the court saw cause with admonition to remite the fault."
James came with his father to Plymouth in 1633. He moved to Scituate, and from there to York, ME, and probably from there to Kennebunk, ME, where he remained but a short time, as he was admitted as freeman of Plymouth in 1654. He purchased property from his father in 1668, including the inn or public house, which business he kept for many years. Judge Sewall, in his diary under the date of March 8, 1698 says, "I get to Plymouth about noon and stop at Coles. This house was built by Governor Winslow and is the oldest in Plymouth."

LDS Church's Ancestral File - not verified.
[58329] The unverified file KDW6-74M in familysearch.org offers: "When Harriet Maud "Hattie" Fletcher was born on 12 March 1863, in Forest City Township, Washington, Maine, United States, her father, George Nelson Fletcher, was 27 and her mother, Mary Elizabeth Brannen, was 19. She had at least 3 sons and 4 daughters with Gilbert Lafayette Brackett. She lived in Bangor, Penobscot, Maine, United States in 1900 and Bancroft, Aroostook, Maine, United States in 1900. She died on 1 October 1900, in Weston, Aroostook, Maine, United States, at the age of 37, and was buried in Smith Cemetery, Weston, Aroostook, Maine, United States."
[39606] This person is from the unverified Kaech/O'Donnell Family Trees in Ancestry.com in 2015. Ancestry.com offers: "Keller Name Meaning - German: from Middle High German kellaere 'cellarman', 'cellar master' (Latin cellarius, denoting the keeper of the cella 'store chamber', 'pantry'). Hence an occupational name for the overseer of the stores, accounts, or household in general in, for example, a monastery or castle. Kellers were important as trusted stewards in a great household, and in some cases were promoted to ministerial rank. The surname is widespread throughout central Europe. English: either an occupational name for a maker of caps or cauls, from Middle English kellere, or an occupational name for an executioner, from Old English cwellere."
[26031] This line is from One World Tree at Ancestry.com in 2007 and is not verified. This site reports that Gruffudd is son of Madog Ap Meurig (b. ca. 1300 in Coity, Glamorganshire) and Wenllian Verch Griffith (b. ca. 1300 in Glamorganshire).
