[58401] Searles is son of Fred Hubbard Clement (1849-1881) & Nina V. Wiggin (1858-1942; m. 1 October 1876 in Kenduskeag, Penobscot Co., ME).
[43216] Find A Grave Memorial 106266096 offers: "Nicholas was the son of Sir Robert Beck of Tene. He married Jane, daughter of Rafe Stafford, Knight of the Garter and first Earl of Stafford, and Katherine Hastang. He served in the famous Crecy campaign, and was probably in the great fight of the feudal lord, Ralph, Baron Stafford being attached to the King's division, and it is certain that he took part in the seige of Calais, because he had during its progress letters of attorney dated March 20, 1347, describing him as of the retinue of Ralph, who was abroad in the King's service. In 1359 he was again in the retinue of Ralph, now Earl of Stafford. In 1261, Prince Lionel of Clarence (son of Edward III) was appointed Lieutenant of Ireland and was accompanied thither by a body of men at arms commissioned by Ralph Stafford. Nicholas Beck was a knight with him. He left two daughters, Elizabeth and Margaret."

[13093] Martha m. 1730 at Biddeford, ME John Elden (b. ca. 1703) of Portsmouth, NH.
[35632] Lawrence is from the unverified Perreault Family Tree in Ancestry.com in 2013 which states he m. Florence _____ (b. ca. 1895) and r. in Boston, Suffolk Co., MA. The 1920 federal census in Boston lists him and wife Florence (age 25, b. in Canada) and children Bradford (5) and Willard (1), both b. in MA. The 1910 federal census lists him in Providence, RI and states Florence was b. in ME. Ancestry.com offers: "Moore Name Meaning - English: from Middle English more 'moor', 'marsh', 'fen', 'area of uncultivated land' (Old English mor), hence a topographic name for someone who lived in such a place or a habitational name from any of the various places named with this word, as for example Moore in Cheshire or More in Shropshire. English: from Old French more 'Moor' (Latin maurus). The Latin term denoted a native of northwestern Africa, but in medieval England the word came to be used informally as a nickname for any swarthy or dark-skinned person. English: from a personal name (Latin Maurus 'Moor'). This name was borne by various early Christian saints. The personal name was introduced to England by the Normans, but it was never as popular in England as it was on the Continent. Irish: Anglicized form of Gaelic Ó Mórdha 'descendant of Mórdha', a byname meaning 'great', 'proud', or 'stately'. Scottish: see Muir. Welsh: from Welsh mawr 'big', applied as a nickname or distinguishing epithet."
