[7396] George's parents are from the unverified Burkepile famil tree in Ancestry.com in 2012 - they appear to be his grandparents instead. George served as a Private First Class during World War II. "The Sentinel [Carlisle, Pennsylvania], 18 July 1988," p. 8: "George E. 'Slicker' Garlin, 79, of Loysville, died Saturday in Carlisle Hospital. He was a former truck driver for Carlisle Tire and Rubber Co. and Mechanicsburg Navy Depot and a milk hauler for Karl Kennedy. An Army veteran of World War II who received the Purple Heart, he was a member of VFW Post No. 7463 in New Bloomfield, Disabled American Veterans Chapter No. 50, Tressler Memorial Lutheran Church, American Association of Retired Persons, Landisburg Fire Company, Lan-disburg Ambulance Club and Blain Ambulance Club. Surviving are his wife, Iva B. Garlin; two daughters, Sara A. Rice of RD2 Loysville and Darlene S. Darr of Carlisle; a son, George A. Garlin of Mechanicsburg; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. Arthur Weitschat officiating. Burial will be in Blain Cemetery with full military honors."
[45859] An unverified family tree in 2020 in Ancestry.com offers: "Hanns Hutzel was born on March 24, 1624, in Holzgerlingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. He married Catherine Dieter on August 27, 1650, in his hometown. They had seven children in 18 years. He died on January 14, 1672, in Holzgerlingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, at the age of 47."

[17543] From: "Lloyd Trafton" (trafton@ssisp.com) 9 Apr 1998: "Wing was a school teacher that researched all the Trafton families in the 50's; he died and left his notes at the Portland historical library. They are there. I was fortunate to get copies before they archived them and allow only on-site perusal. Wing did the best and most thourough research that I know of. 15 manila folders with each family in rough note form with correspondence, research source, etc. and many comments on the inaccuracies introduced by some pseudo researchers, such as Thomas Bliss Trafton and a couple old spinsters in the 1800's who guessed at things and used word of mouth as a gospel. Three families went to Canada after revolution. The rest started and spred all over America. The Joseph Trafton leg is the only one no readily traceable to Thomas the pioneer (1624 birth) and resident in Maine, Zachieus's father. The Thomas of New Brunswick is not directly provable to be a descendent as well but Wing believed it so. Two legs are a problem: One, the tracing of Thomas of Saint John to Thomas of Maine, the pioneer (1624) and the other is tracing Thomas the pioneer of Maine to a birth place in England on or near 1624 at or near Cornwall? There was a record of a Trafton in Soderburg, England early on but no trace." The LDS Church's unverified Ancestral File (3DL1-F5) reports his birth place as East Newlyn, Cornwall and his date of baptism as 20 Jun 1624 [sic], probably a transposition of the final two digits of the year.
