[27068] "Our Branches," by Mary Ann Jones, in http://www.gencircles.com provides his ancestry (not verified).
[7280] Jacob is son of John Eby and Elizabeth Myers. An Eby ancestry and genealogy is "A biographical history of the Eby family, being a history of their movements in Europe during the Reformation and of their early settlement in America : as also much other unpublished historical information belonging to the family," Ezra E. Eby (Berlin, Ontario: 1889), available on-line at the Brigham Young University library web site. "The Perry Review, Vol. 30 - 2009" (Newport, PA: The Perry Historians), p. 36, offers: "John Eby built his house wtth his church in mind. Two of the first-floor rooms were separated with sliding doors that could be opened up for church services. It is a corner-post building with an exterior stone, bottle-shaped chimney characteristic of the western end of the county. John Eby's son Jacob was married to Magdalena Briner in 1855. In the day book Jacob kept from 1851 to 1852 he mentions attending 'love feasts' in various Dunkard congregations. These were two-day affairs, and visitors stayed overnight in members' homes."
