Avella (ca. 1885-ca. 1945) and wife Rosina "Rose" Serio (ca. 1885-ca. 1985) emigrated from Italy ca. 1900. "The Courier-News [Bridgewater, NJ], 5 April 197," p. 29: "Cherry Hill - Nathaniel R. Avella, 48, of 425 Barby Lane, died March 15, 1978 at the West Jersey Hospital in Camden. Born in Manville, he graduated from Bound Brook High School and was a graduate of Rutgers University. He served as a first lieutenant in the Korean War. Mr. Avella worked for RCA of Camden as an engineer for 25 years. He is survived by his wife, Dr. Carolyn Avella. an anesthetist at West Jersey Hospital; two sons, David and Kenneth, both at home; his mother, Mrs. Rose Avella of Manville; two brothers, Col. Joseph T. of Trenton and Dr. Arthur N. of New York, and three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Quigley and Josephine, both of Manville, and Mrs. Antoinette Gearhart of Bridgewater. Burial was at Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill."

(William) Kingsland "King" Macy (November 21, 1889 - July 15, 1961) was a United States Representative from New York . Born in New York City, he graduated from Groton School (in Groton, Massachusetts in 1908 and from Harvard University in 1912. He engaged in wholesaling and importing from 1912 to 1915, served with the United States Food Administration and War Trade Board from 1917 to 1919, was president of Union Pacific Tea Co. from 1919 to 1922, was a member of a stock brokerage firm from 1922 to 1938, and was a banker and publisher. He was chairman of the Suffolk County Republican Committee from 1926 to 1951, was chairman of the New York State Republican Committee from 1930 to 1934, was delegate to the Republican National Conventions in 1928, 1932, 1940, 1944, and 1948, and to the Republican State Conventions from 1928 to 1946. He was active in the investigation of the New York State Banking Department in 1929 and also in promoting the Seabury inquiry into the affairs of New York City in 1931 and 1932. He was a Regent of the State of New York from 1941 to 1953, and in 1946 was a member of the New York State Senate. Macy's hold over the Suffolk Republican party organization was so complete that he was called "The Little King of Suffolk County". . . . Macy was elected as a Republican to the Eightieth and Eighty-first Congresses, holding office from January 3, 1947 to January 3, 1951. He was defeated for reelection in 1950 to the Eighty-second Congress, and was chairman of the board of Suffolk Consolidated Press Co., Inc., and of Suffolk Broadcasting Corp. He died in Islip in 1961, and his remains were placed in a receiving vault at Oakwood Cemetery."

[52069] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine], 13 March 2019": "Ellsworth - Myrtle Tapley McVay, 98, passed away on March 9, 2019, on a beautiful bright sunny day! Myrtle was born Aug. 11, 1920, in West Brooksville, the daughter of Olden D. and Annie M. (Blodgett) Tapley. In grade school she was know as Myrtle Agnes wigtail Tapley. She was a 1939 graduate of Brooksville High School and received her Alumni pins for 50, 60, 70 and 80 years. After graduation, Myrtle and her husband, John, moved to New York, where John was a marine engineer. After eight children, the family moved back to Maine in 1960. Myrtle worked at Britts running the lunch counter for 10 years. She was head lunch lady for area schools for 10 years. After her retirement she went back to work as a private cook for Mr. and Mrs. Minot Milliken of Hulls Cove for several years. In Myrtles free time, she cruised, going on 12 total, with her favorite being Panama Canal, which she did twice. She did her last cruise at the age of 97. Christmas Eve was always Myrtles holiday, and became a family tradition for all and was always a grand time. She was a past member and president of the Golden Age at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Myrtle may have been 98 but she never acted her age. She was a very special lady to everyone and she will be terribly missed. Myrtle is survived by her seven children; Joseph from Dixfield, Ann Wells from Ellsworth, Elizabeth McPherson and her husband, Milton, from Florida, Margaret Day and her husband, James, from Ellsworth, Vern and his wife, Cynthia, from Waltham, Robert from Waltham and Douglas and wife, Gail, from Franklin. Twenty-three grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 36 great-great-grandchildren. She reached five generations four times! Myrtle was predeceased by her husband of 37 years, John R. McVay, and a son, John F. McVay from Germany."
