Eustace m. in February, 1140 at Paris, to Constance, Princess of France (and sister of Louis VII, to whom Eustace did homage for Normandy). He was knighted in 1147, and in 1151 joined Louis VII on an unsuccessful raid upon Normandy (which accepted Matilda as queen and which was now defended by her husband, Geoffry to Anjou). "Ancestral Roots..." (Balt., 1992) 169A: "Eustace had by unknown mistress: Eustache de Champagne, m. (1) Geoffrey de Mandeville, d.s.p., Earl of Essex, div.; m. (2) Anselme Candavaine, Count of Saint-Pol, d. 1164. She had three sons: Hugh, count of St. Pol, Engerrand, Guy. ...[Eustache de Champagne also] had Beatrice Candavaine, de Saint-Pol, m. as (3) wife, John I, Count of Ponthieu, d. 1191."
http://www.answers.com/topic/eustace-iv-of-boulogne offers: "He became the Heir Apparent to his father's lands by the death of an elder brother before 1135, and inherited Boulogne through his mother, Matilda of Boulogne. In 1137, he did homage for Normandy to Louis VII of France, whose sister, Constance, he subsequently married in 1140 (as a widow she remarried to Count Raymond V of Toulouse). Eustace was knighted in 1147, at which date he was probably from sixteen to eighteen years of age. In 1151 he joined Louis in an abortive raid upon Normandy, which had accepted the title of the Empress Matilda (another of many Matildas of the era), and was now defended by her husband, Geoffrey of Anjou. At a council held in London on April 6, 1152, Stephen induced a small number of barons to pay homage to Eustace as their future king; but the primate, Theobald, and the other bishops declined to perform the coronation ceremony on the grounds that the Roman curia had declared against the claim of Eustace. Eustace died suddenly the next year, in early August 1153 struck down (so it was said) by the wrath of God while plundering church lands near Bury St. Edmunds. The death of Eustace was hailed with general satisfaction as opening the possibility of a peaceful settlement between Stephen and his rival, the young Henry of Anjou. According to William of Newburgh, King Stephen was 'grieved beyond measure by the death of the son who he hoped would succeed him; he pursued warlike preparations less vigorously, and listened more patiently than usual to the voices of those urging peace.' The Peterborough Chronicle, not content with voicing this sentiment, gives Eustace a bad character. 'He was an evil man and did more harm than good wherever he went; he spoiled the lands and laid thereon heavy taxes.' He had used threats against the recalcitrant bishops, and in the war against the Angevin party had demanded contributions from religious houses; these facts perhaps suffice to account for the verdict of the chronicler."

[52071] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine], 2 April 2019": "Lamoine and Sullivan - Muriel Murphy (Sis) Butler, 89, born Jan. 15, 1930, in Bar Harbor to Delmont and Mabel (Gray) Murphy, left us to join her beloved husband, Richard, and her sons Richard (Punkie) and Roger Butler on March 24, 2019. Muriel worked as a nurse for many years, retiring from Sonogee Estates in Bar Harbor. She was much loved by all her patients. She had a true love for hand sewing; making her granddaughter Melissas doll clothes, teddy bears and Halloween costumes year after year was one of her joys. She loved her children and grandchildren more than life itself, always putting them first. She had so much patience with her grandchildren - waiting for her granddaughter Melissa to stop while shopping to remove her shoe to fit a wrinkle in her sock - to waiting and waiting for her grandsons James and Scott to pick out their horror movies to rent. Out to Jaspers Restaurant for breakfast was a regular outing for them all. The love and happiness she showed when her great-grandson Dylan was born was beyond words. Muriel was known to most as 'Sis' and to her grandchildren as Mammie. She had an off-the-wall witty sense of humor that we all enjoyed and will forever remember. She will be lovingly missed by so many. Muriel is survived by her daughter Diane Butler Strout and husband, Albert, of Hancock, her grandchildren Melissa Kelley of Surry, James Strout of Bucksport, Scott Strout of Bangor, great-grandson Dylan Kelley of Surry. She was predeceased by her husband and two sons, 10 brothers, four sisters, many nieces, nephews and cousins."
[57767] Lydia is said to be daughter of Eliab Pendexter (1761-1842) & Mary Thomas (1764-1846; m. 19 September 1783).
[12149] Blanche is daughter of John Roche of Fermoy.
