Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines. Mr. Heichel was born in Cedar Falls and had lived in West Des Moines since 1941. He was a retired engineer with Northwestern Bell and a member of West Des Moines United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, Telephone Pioneers of America and Za-Ga-Zig Shrine. Surviving are a daughter, Sharon Boston of Ames; a sister, Doris Bryan of Stone Lake, Wis.; and a grandchild."
