[178] Her obituary in the Akron Beacon Journal: "Born in Akron, she was a lifelong resident where she was a graduate of Central Hower High School. She worked for nine years at Concordia Lutheran Church and spent the last 20 years working for Macy's as a sales associate. Susan will also be remembered for her dedicated support of the Akron Aeros. She attended the very first game at Canal Park, and she and her sister Wendy rarely missed games from that point on, including being there for the League Championship just last month. They were indeed the Aeros # 1 fans. Preceded in death just three months ago by her father, Richard; she is survived by her mother, Joan; brothers, Gary (Susan) and John (Lori); sisters, Linda (Jim) Triola and Wendy Weiss; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends." Susan was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Akron. She died of ovarian cancer. She was buried one day before her mother's 80th birthday.
