[4135] Ruth's obituary: "Ruth A. Helbert, 91, of Ashland, died Thursday afternoon, April 14, 2016 in Colonial Manor Health Care Center, Loudonville following a short illness. She was born on April 9, 1925 in Loudonville and was the daughter of the late O. P. and Edna (Coble) Paullin. Ruth was a lifelong resident of Loudonville until moving to Ashlands Belmont Towers of Brethren Village in 2006. She was a 1943 graduate of Loudonville High School and worked for 11 years at The Flxible Co., also in the clerks office of the Village of Loudonville, and for the Farmers & Savings Bank. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Loudonville. On May 4, 1951 she married Donald W. Helbert and he died on May 31, 2010. Ruth is survived by her two daughters: Susan (David) Peoples of Summerfield, FL, and Debra (Jerry) Kirkpatrick of Loudonville; her step-daughter, Sondra Welsh of Mooresville, NC; four grandchildren: Jodi (Phillip) Hubert, Shauna (Matt) Pier, Cassie Kirkpatrick, Crystal (David) Bitner; a step-granddaughter, Lou Ann (Michael) Alery; 14 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Norma McClaran of Ashland. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 59 years, four brothers: infant Harold, Richard, Kenneth, and Robert Paullin; and four sisters: Marie Wickham, Helen Roach, Dorothy Stockmon, and Jeanne Shreve."
