He was born in Penobscot Jan. 13, 1910 the son of Pearl and Leila (Wardwell) Leach. Mr. Leach was employed for many years until his retirement by St, Regis Paper Co, in Bucksport. He was active in the Bucksport Little League and was an avid sportsman. Mr. Leach is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ella (Howard) Leach; his son and daughter-ln-law Harland 'Jerry' and Janice Leach, Jr.; two daughters and a son- in-law, Cynthia (Leach) Harris, and Rosemary (Leach) and Jeff Pease, all of Bucksport; nine grandchildren, Beth Roderick, Karen Wardwell, Loretta Alley, Marcia Simmons, Janet Frake, Dennis Walls, Lisa Boyce, Jeremy and Jesse Pease; one brother, Carl Leach of Cape Rosier; four sisters, Gladys Eldridge of Orland, Avis Cushing and Elva Fields, both of Bucksport, and Murrel Leach of New Hampshire; 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one daughter Patricia Alice Leach; six brothers and four sisters."
