"Mount Carmel Item [Mount Carmel, PA], 12 January 1911," p. 4: "Irwin T. Boyer, a well known man father of several Mount Carmel residents, died Tuesday afternoon at his home, one mile west of Pitman, Schuylkill county, aged 75 years. Pneumonia was the cause of death. Mr. Boyer was widely known all over Schuylkill county, and had many friends in Mount Carmel, having been a frequent visitor here. His wife died last May. He had nine children, all of whom are living. The survivors are John, of Hegins; Monroe, of Philadelphia; Henry J., Irwin Jr., Rufus, Charles H., and Mrs W. E. Moyer, of Mount Carmel; Mrs. Oscar Ramer, Line Mountain; and Clara, at home. Deceased was a member of the Reformed church. The funeral will be Sunday morning at 9:30 o'clock, services in the Howerter church and interment in the cemetery adjoining."

She was the daughter of Hermann and Priscilla Echenagucia, and was born in Penobscot. For several years she had made her home in Castine, after a long residence in Belfast. Surviving are her brother, Frank Echenagucia, a nephew, Arnold Echenagucia and two nieces, Priscilla and Helena Echenagucia, all of Massachusetts. An aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Conner, of this town, also survive. Funeral services will be at the late home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. Alfred G. Hampstead of Bucksport.
