[13385] "The Ludington [Michigan] Daily News, 27 April 1948," p. 1: "James Brillhart, age 75, prominent Oceana county fruit grower and one of the oddest and best known residents of Smith corners was instantly killed and the Rev. Mr. William Meadows, pastor of Hart Methodist church, was seriously injured in an automobile accident at Schaner corners, a mile south of Smith corners on US-31 at 7 p.m. Monday. According to Oceana county sheriffs officers who investigated, the accident occurred when the Brillhart light truck, which was coming on a cross road from the west onto US-31, and the Meadows automobile crashed. Both cars were demolished. The Rev. Mr. Meadows, who was knocked unconscious, was taken to Oceana hospital in Hart where it was said he was suffering from chest injuries. More X-rays were to be taken this morning to determine the extent of his injuries. He was enroute to Ludington where he .was to conduct a service at Bethany Methodist church. The body of Brillhart is at Tate funeral home in Hart. Funeral arrangements have not been made. He is survived by his widow a son, Raymond Brillhart, who is a Hart businessman, and five grandchildren."

[45402] Shown as daughter of Christoper and Betty in Pedigree Resource file MMD1-4RC (not verified). "The Akron Beacon Journal, 9 February 1911," p. 8: "Mrs. Sarah Sieber, better known nn 'Grandma' Sieber who has been seriously ill for a number of days at her home at 379 Park street., died Wednesday night of old age and a general breaking down. She would have been 90 years of age had she lived until April. Mrs. Sieber had been in good health until about a week ago when she began to fail, and was forced to take to her bed. For several hours before her death she had been unconscious and unable to recognize members of the family, and her death was as a dropping to sleep, so peaceful was the end. Mrs. Sieber had an interesting history, coming to Akron in 1868 from Snyder county, Pennsylvania, which had been the family home for generations. She was married twice, the first time to John Motz, having five children, of whom, John Motz, city treasurer; Henry of Chicago and William of this city are the survivors. Her second husband was Joseph Sieber, and three children were the fruits of the marriage, of whom ex-Senator George W. Sieber is the sole survivor. Her husband died about 15 years ago, and she has since lived at her little home on Park street. Eighteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren survive Mrs. Sieber. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church and had been a regular attendant at this church until by reason of her years she had been forced to remain at home."
