[59053] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 24 March 2025: "Dr. Ann Carol (Ellis) Perkins, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on March 19, 2025, after a long hospice stay at home, surrounded by the love (and probably some teasing) from her family. Born on February 17, 1942, in Louisiana, she was the daughter of Alfred W. 'Big Al' Perkins and Montez O. (Perkins) Rideout, known as 'MP.' Ann was the proud mother of Christine Ann (McLaughlin) Ellis, now engaged to Michael Majka (who's lucky to be joining this lively clan), and the cherished grandmother of Maeve and Patrick McLaughlin. Ann was predeceased by her travel buddies, Jane and Bob Goodwin, with whom she explored exotic destinations like Aruba and Treasure Island, Florida - often with a cocktail in hand and a mischievous grin. From a young age, Ann and her older brother, Robert E. Perkins, were known for their tap and ballroom dance skills, teaching and exhibiting with enough flair to make Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers proud. Her passion for horses was equally legendary. One of her proudest moments was riding in the camp's ring just two days after giving birth to Christy. Ann demonstrated both her toughness and her commitment to staying on course - even if that course was around a riding ring! Ann earned a doctorate and became Dr. Ann Ellis, Ed.D., with a groundbreaking thesis on 'Humor and Leadership Effectiveness.' This wasn't just a scholarly pursuit - it was practically a personal mission. After defending her thesis, the family immediately dubbed her 'Doc,' and she was showered with Snow White-themed gifts. Ann had a fulfilling career in both teaching and nursing. She held many roles, but perhaps the most significant was as Dean of Nursing at Husson College, where she inspired students to do their best making them laugh and reminding them that being a nurse was as much about heart as it was about expertise. She leaves behind a legacy of care, compassion, laughter, and a reminder that life is better when you don't take yourself too seriously."
[36351] This person is from Melissa Ann's Tree (not verified) in Ancestry.com in 2014 which states Isaac was a Private in 1865 in the 103rd Rgt., PA Volunteers and that he is son of David Sarver (b. 1814 in PA). Find A Grave Memorial 158767244 offers: "The son of David & Margaret (Mortz) Sarver, in 1860 he was a laborer and carpenter living with his family in Greenwood Township, Perry County, Pennsylvania. He stood 5' 10" tall and had dark hair and gray eyes. A Civil War veteran, he enlisted in Harrisburg March 14, 1865, mustered into federal service there March 16 as a private with the 103rd Pennsylvania Infantry in the second organization of Co. C, and honorably discharged with his company June 25, 1865. He married Mary Ann Hoffman in 1873 in Liverpool, Perry County, and fathered Rebecca Jane (b. 01/??/74), Alice C. (b. 09/15/72 - married a Lindsay), Rebecca Jane (b. 01/12/74 - married a Roush), Mary Emma (b. 09/18/75 - married a Douty) Christine (b. 07/29/77 - married a Charles), John K. (b. 09/??/80), Charles Andrew (b. 07/25/83), and Virginia B. (b. 06/20/89)."
