[60722] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 20 October 2025: "Old Town, Maine - Larry left this world on October 20, 2025, for his ultimate hunting and fishing trip in the skies. Although our hearts are broken, we all have been able to find peace in knowing that there is a whole group of people he loves waiting for him. Larry was born May 14, 1957 to Joseph Goodie and Elaine (Hamilton) Goodie in Bangor, ME. He spent much of his life residing in Old Town, Maine, where he graduated high school. Later Larry met the love of his life, Laurie Ann (Dorr), who gave him his most cherished blessings, his boys, Scott and Brian. Larry was an avid hunter and fisher, he truly enjoyed every minute he was able to spend on the water or in the woods. He was the kind of guy that without hesitation would drop anything and everything to help the people he cared about. Larry was the world's greatest husband, father, father-in-law, brother, uncle, and friend to anyone lucky enough to have him in their life."

[58292] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 3 August 2023: "Machias - June E. (Hanscom) Ashmore, 76, passed on July 28, 2023, with her sister and brother by her side after a courageous battle with cancer. June was born on August 15, 1946, in Machias, ME to Herbert A. Hanscom Jr. and Flora (Purington) Hanscom. She dedicated her life to educating the youth of Downeast. Her greatest achievement was the revival and leadership of the Machias Valley Christian School. She was an active member of her community as a businesswoman, a volunteer for the Chamber of Commerce, and life-long member of the Machias Valley Baptist Church. She leaves behind a legacy that will be remembered for generations to come. She loved to laugh and enjoy moments with her family. June was always up for a good game or crazy challenge from her sister during family gatherings. She always had time to listen and offer advice to anyone in need. She was kindhearted and special in ways beyond words and will hold a place in many hearts forever. The world has lost a wonderful person, but heaven will receive a good and faithful servant. Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all. - Proverbs 31:29. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael Ashmore; her parents; nephew, Josh Hanscom; and niece, Jessika Guptill. June will forever be in the hearts of her loved ones left behind; son, Mark Roy; brother, Donald Hanscom and wife, Debra; sister Debbie Guptill and husband, Lyle; nephew, Joe Hanscom and wife, Amanada; niece, Erika Netzorg and husband, Ken; niece, Monika Guptill; nephew Erik Guptill and wife, Erin; nephew, Dante Zanoni; niece Cynthia and husband, Andy; nephew Albert and partner, Debbie; nephew, Eugene and wife, Julie; and several great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her babies, Sally and Patches; and many more family and friends near and far."

[8719] Jacob is son of John Myers and Catharine Hostetter. He and Ella were members of Trinity Reformed (now UCC) Church, New Bloomfield. Jacob owned a large tract of timber land, farmed and owned the famed Springdale Park dancing pavillion in the Bloomfield Narrows (opened about 1919). "The Perry County Democrat, 23 March 1932," p. 3: "Jacob H. Myers, who resided in the Newport-Bloomfield Narrows, died in the Harrisburg Hospital Thursday of last week, death being due supposedly to blood poisoning, although the hospital physicians were not certain of that diagnosis. He had been ill one week. He was aged 63 years, 3 months and 17 days. The deceased was a son of John and Catharine (Hostetter) Myers and was born and reared near the home where he died. He married Miss Ellen Hollenbaugh, who survives with the following named sons and daughters: Horace Myers, Harrisburg; Maud, Camden, N. J.; Vernon, Centre township, and Clarence, Helen and Marion at home. One child is dead. Two brothers and one sister are living George Myers, of Newport; John F., Centre township, and Mrs. Cora Frownfelter, of New Bloomfield. Mr. Myers was a farmer by occupation and owned a great deal of timber land. He was widely known, being proprietor of the dancing pavilion at Springdale Park, in the Narrows. He was a member of the Bloomfield Reformed Church and was a good-natured, kind-hearted man and had many friends, who learned of his death with sincere regret. Funeral services were held at his late home on Sunday, conducted by the Rev. T. V. Miller, of Newport, and burial was in Newport cemetery."
