[497] In 2003 http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Hills/1094/sturry.htm offers: "John Sturry was born about 1420 in Shropshire, England. He married Anne Corbet, the daughter of Sir Roger Corbet of Moverton, Shropshire, England. John was the owner of the estate of Rossall. The Sturry family had acquired this estate in the 1300s. At that time, it was owned by Sir John de Rossall who died without issue. His property went to his sisters. The one whom inherited the estate was married to a Sturry. Johns father may have been Richard Sturry ( - 1469). He was a Armiger which was a squire below the rank of knight, and was entitled to bear a coat of arms. He was the owner of the Rossall estate in 1451. John and Anne had two children, Blanche who married William Whitcombe, and Thomas. John died sometime after 1493.
