He married Mary Emma Townsley on March 7, 1925, in his hometown. They had two children during their marriage. He died in February 1965 at the age of 67, and was buried in Coatesville, Pennsylvania.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the London Heights Methodist Episcopal church. Burial in Independence, Mo."
